Firearm Safety Training & CCW Preparation
Learn basic firearm safety training, California gun laws, gun cleaning, basic pistol shooting and much more! Class will consist of 2 portions. Students will first go through classroom instruction on firearm safety. Once completed, students will go out to the shooting range the same day. Students will commute to the shooting range which requires a fee of $25 for entry.
Please read before registering:
- Must be eligible to possess a firearm. Eligibility can be verified by ONE of the following :
1. Declare that you have a firearm registered in California & provide DROS (purchase record).
2. Either a federal, state, or local government employee who has passed a background check upon employment.
3. Active or retired military personnel, or active or retired law enforcement officers.
4. Pass a paid firearm background check at CA OUTDOORS (minimum 10 days prior to class). *Students should anticipate a background check fee of $40.
5. Sign affidavit upon first day of class.
*All students will be required to sign affidavit form upon first day of class.
Before class begins, instructor will verify student's credentials to confirm their eligibility. Students deemed ineligible will not be able to participate the class.
