CCW Defense Pistol 101
For permit holders and responsible citizens preparing to carry a concealed firearm for self-defense. A carry permit is not a pass — it's a promise. This class builds the skills behind that promise: safe handling, sound judgment, and accurate shooting under pressure. (PPE, 300 rds ammo and holster are required)
What you'll learn
Safe concealed carry, start to finish — how to draw from concealment, re-holster safely, and handle your pistol without ever pointing it at anything you don't intend to shoot.
Defensive marksmanship fundamentals — grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, applied the way they matter in a real defensive encounter: fast, accurate, and accountable for every round.
Shooting under pressure — timed drills that teach you to get accurate hits on target quickly, reload efficiently, and clear common malfunctions without panic. (300 rds and holster are required)
Decision-making and awareness — when to avoid a confrontation altogether, how to recognize a threat early, and what "shoot" vs. "don't shoot" really looks like in the seconds you have to decide.
Carrying in everyday life — holster selection, dressing around the gun, storing it safely at home and in your vehicle, and the habits that keep a carried firearm secure all day, every day.
The law, in plain language — where you can and cannot carry in California, what the law expects of a permit holder, and why training and judgment go on your belt right alongside the firearm.
What you'll walk away with
Confidence that your skills match your responsibility: a safe draw, accurate fire, a clear head, and a realistic understanding of what carrying every day demands.
